Resourceful City Series speaker event

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) is inviting citizens and media to attend the inaugural Resourceful City Series speaker event, an initiative spawned by the GSDC’s recently released economic development strategic plan entitled From the Ground Up.

The Resourceful City Series will consist of speaker events and other initiatives focused on each of the sectors that make up Greater Sudbury’s economy and the key themes of the plan, with the intention of inspiring Sudburians to embrace the plan and seize the opportunity to play a part in driving the economic growth of their community as we work toward our goal of 10,000 new jobs in 10 years.

The inaugural installment will focus on research and innovation and its importance to Greater Sudbury’s economy.

The evening will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Rui Wang, Vice President, Research at Laurentian University as well as exciting talks by:

  • Dr. Nigel Smith (SNOLAB)
  • Dr. Nadia Mykytczuk (Vale Living with Lakes Centre)
  • Stephen Gravel (Cambrian Innovates)
  • Kyle Borrowman (EnviroScience Inc.)

The inaugural Resourceful City Series event will take place Monday November 23rd at Collège Boréal.

Doors open at 5:00 pm, with the first speaker taking the stage at 6:00 pm.
